Another hotel coming to Metro Center.  The building would be located at 261 French Landing, a 3 acre site directly to the SE of the new Candlewood Suites. No brand or renderings yet.  Hope for rezoning approval form Metro Planning on Feb. 8th.

i mean its in a very random place tucked right on the river in not really a highly trafficked pedestrian area. the pedestrian activity of this one doesn't really bother me. i'm more concerned w who the heck would even want to live right there and who would rent a retail space right there either. isn't that right in the flood plain?

The concave Giarratana site that borders on Music City Circle. I believe he has the desire (and wherewithall) to purchase the two story Diersen Charities building in the foreground that would end up giving the combined space square footage that would nearly equal of the Westin Hotel property.  I predict this is where he will put his dream tall hotel (he told us at a Meet-Up a few years back that a large luxury hotel somewhere downtown was on his bucket list). Over the next several days I'll share pics from the gorgeous Noelle Hotel, which just opened a few weeks ago.  Originally built in 1930 as a hotel, then converted to office space, and now it's return as a luxury boutique.

I did the same, walked through the lobby last week.    I worked in the Noel building for a while many years ago, and the transformation is spectacular!

The building at 121 3rd Ave. South that will have the new Merle Haggard Museum (just to the south of the Johnny Cash Museum)  will also feature a speakeasy type theater, along with the museum, and Merle's Meat + Three Saloon.

This project and 21c Museum Hotel are among my favorite developments in the city’s core. Can’t wait to walk through this handsome property!

I just did a quick search and the cheapest rate I found was $391/night with most room types well over $400/night. I’m glad they are open, but WOW it’s expensive. What’s crazy is that these hotels continue to get rates like this. Regardless of how nice it is, I have a hard time justifying spending that much on a hotel.

It's for a very specific clientele. That's why they spent so much on the additional floors on the rear of the building and completely gutting it.

I just can’t get over this place! They need to hire full time Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney impersonators to just stand around the lobby and bar smoking unfiltered cigarettes in 1940s garb. Call it “living art”, if they want to get boutique-y with it.

One thing that a build out, this nice, does is raise the bar for every other upcoming hotel project and hotel renovation project.
