I get the point, but those are some pretty aggressive growth projections.  I can't see us more than doubling our current square footage of buildings by 2024.  I seriously doubt we'll double the number of workers downtown by then either.  The most believable in my mind may be tripling the number of residents, but even that is going to be really tough to do.

Those have to be the upper echelon for growth projections because that just doesn't seem possible in 5-7 years unless some unbelievably ridiculous things come into an alignment like a solar eclipse.

Apparently the Moxy Hotel (5 stories, 161 rooms) rebuild/expansion of the old Richards & Richards building at 215 Broadway now has full bank loan and construction should get serious soon.

The Moxy on Broadway has secured funding from Planter's bank of Hopkinsville, KY.  Six stories in two buildings at 215 Broad and 110 Third Ave. South. Brentwood-based Parent Co. is contractor. The forthcoming Marriott Moxy (Nadsaq: MAR) hotel will contain 168 rooms. I hope it's that the bad rendering makes it look bad, but the early renderings have the same "color scheme" with variegated brick. So I am afraid is going to be a distinctive part of this building. I think it's really ugly... not to mention detracting from the historical buildings around it. Now that is the sort of thing I would hope/expect the Historical Commission would be careful not to approve.  But everything I've heard about them is they're only obsessed with building heights a block away.

It will be interesting to see  how the Blush boutique fairs. It is very isolated and retail tends to run in packs.

If it can survive until 5th + Broad comes online, it won't be isolated for long. The retail in the MDHA garage paired with 505 is just up the street as well.
