Good question. I haven't seen this categorically addressed here, probably because no one except Amazon knows. Amazon reported such a catastrophic miss on earnings last quarter along with some huge macro hiring mistakes - I'm wondering about local impacts.

Hiring mistake seemed to be with respect to warehouse employees, which these won’t be. Also, their earnings miss was largely tied to their Rivian investment, which seemed irresponsibly sized IMO.

The only thing they’ve applied for building permits wise are related to the garage up to upper 10th Ave / Church street.

Not at all my point. When Amazon corporate numbers and therefore management are under stakeholder scrutiny in a new way (at least for Amazon), LOL - money is viewed differently. Large expenditures, expansion plans, and other strategic moves requiring significant capital (regardless of the business unit) will be under refreshed examination for return on invested capital. This is normal for any corporation.
