And this is probably the quickest way for a complete building envelope. These are unitized elements that are a bit more expensive up front, but soooo efficient on the construction site.

Now imagine needing to construct wall framing + sheathing layer + waterproofing + masonry anchors + masonry at this kind of height. think about how pain staking that is and that begins to give an understanding why developers/high rise construction as a whole has gone to this approach.

I’m a novice.  What building is this and what is the permit for?

This is the Yards AEG site and looks to be the permit for the Mixed-use building seeing that is the main one pictured. I didn't have time to read all of it. The diagrams also depict the two residential buildings, the entertainment buildings as well.

As noted, the parcels at the NE corner will be for future building build outs. Ther are some new diagrams in here two showing the skeletons of the buildings.

Looks like the drawing package is the same one used for the permit the other day. These are hefty packages and the cover info is the same, so I confident they are the same.

This means that both 36 story residential towers are now under construction.

Crane bases are going where the tallest are going first, then to the next tallest will be the NW corner where the MU building will be is my guess.
