Developer Jim Jacobs has purchased 1911 Church St. (.4 acre including a nondescript, empty  2 story stucco structure) for $3.85 million. This is just to the west of where Greystar is planning a 28 story residential project at 19th and Church. Jacobs also owns the land at 1705 Hayes St. where he has proposed a 24 story residential tower. No word on Jacobs' plans for the Church St. site yet.

Clarendale West End Senior Living will be 5 & 6 stories tall and feature 172 living units to be developed by Ryan Companies and Harrison Street at 3414-3416 Park Drive. they recently purchased the site which currently features a 2 story 1966-era 36 unit apartment complex for $9.3 million. The architect is Ryan A+E Inc; and Ryan will also serve as the contractor.

I forgot to let you guys know about this one Saturday. I know Craig and I hit you guys with a lot of stuff, and it was easy to forget some. I think I also forgot to mention the project at the Hughe & Coleman site too. I di not know that would be a hotel till Taylor found it yesterday.

I think there are a lot more surprises coming down the pike!!!! For those of you that were not at the meeting... too bad .. you missed out... that is why you have to join us for the juicy stuff!

A mixed-use residential project of unknown size is being proposed for the triangular 1.3 acre lot at 1308 4th Ave. South  where Choice Construction is currently located. Apparently the site is under contract, and the unknown buyer will go before Metro Planning on Sept. 22 to request a zoning change from industrial to mixed-use.

Hopefully something more music oriented.

Maybe someone will buy the Douglas Corner Cafe and reopen it-that whole block needs to be another Lower Broad alternative for entertainment.

There is supposed to be a new venue going in at Douglas Corner. They started posting to their Instagram account last week, so they must be getting close.
