Someone told me today that a large sporting-goods chain has purchased the old Lowe's building in

Spartanburg and are also looking at a location in Greenville. They told me the chain had a store in

Greenville at one time, but left the market, and they couldn't remember the name.

Do any of you guys know what this is?

Additional GE story here. With business booming, GE plans to hire an additional 130 hourly workers and 200 additional engineers this year.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I figured an economic development announcement would be forthcoming since they're having their annual shareholders meeting there. Great news indeed!

Could any of these be related to Project Skyline? I hope not. :)

I doubt these have anything to do with Project Skyline, since they do not fit the information we have read about the three entities and their cost.

The "top notch detective work" by g-man430 was nothing more than a check of the County government's public website. We all have the ability to check it out and discover this same information. If this were a case for an expert sleuth, we could all very easily become the Sherlock Holmes of Greenville development news.

Project Skyline, Project Elf, and Project Racket are all different projects. This article in The Greenville News provides updates on each:

This is a very exciting time for Greenville, folks. If all of these deals go through, it will mean a ton of investment in our favorite metro!
