Wow - that's significant. Maybe it's the substantial growth that we've seen of late, but the amount of growth that has pushed down I-385 has been substantial. I'm sure this will only add to that. I hope Laurens County is prepared to control and direct growth, but I don't expect much given that they do not have any form of zoning in place for unincorporated areas of the county.

New county-level census estimates for 2023 just dropped. The bureau estimates that Greenville County grew to 558,036 as of July 2023. This would represent 6.2% growth from the 2020 census. View the table here.

Also of note, Spartanburg County estimated at 356,698 which would be an 8.8% increase over 2020 numbers. Anderson grew 4.6% to 213,076.

Allendale County clocks in at 7,369, a loss of 49 people in one year. The population GAIN in ONE YEAR in Horry County is DOUBLE Allendale's entire population.

For the love of God, yes.  This is just about the last place you can go that hasn't been infected with politics, which is why it's so damned annoying whenever someone brings "Joe" into it.  If you think the president has that kind of omnipotence and those kinds of powers to direct every action of other autonomous nations,  not to mention whether or not projects are built in Greenville, then he's obviously a god of some kind and you ought to go pray to him -- but quietly, in a closed room in your home, in private as the Bible directs, and keep it off of here.
