I've received an e-mail from our old friend g-man430 in response to my suggestion to install a tombstone, so he evidently still keeps an eye on our discussions here. Supposedly, all of the financing paperwork was supposed to have been completed by noon this past Tuesday with construction starting next week. He's not had confirmation with regard to whether if it all went through or not, yet, but he is still asserting what we've all heard asserted before:

The Ellis Group has spent too much money, time, and effort on this project to see it simply die. Even if it takes them five years to start construction on it, the POM will get built. That is a guarantee.

I know we have had several false alarms, but construction has supposedly started today on the Pinnacle on Main. There are a couple of trucks on the site and one lane of Elford Street is blocked off.

Seriously, this sounds good, but could it simply be trucks replanting and repaving the area for a failed project? Do we know what kind of trucks?

I'm not sure what kind of trucks. All I know is what was posted by distortedlogic and subsequently g-man on another site (Shivering Southern Canada ).
