Looks like the diverted flight was an attempted hijacking.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to an alleged hijacking of a Delta flight out of LAX, Friday.

Delta flight 386 was bound for Nashville,Tennessee when the alleged suspect attempted to make his way into the plane’s cockpit. 

Passenger videos on social media showed flight attendants tackling and grounding the suspect, before tying his limbs with what appeared to be heavy duty zip ties.

Guess we can call this flight attendant the new ZIP TIE GUY. Good for him! What in sour green apple did this wannabe hijacker think he was going to do? Ram his head through the cock pit door until he was unconscious. 

We have just grown  a generation or two of absolute nuts in this country. Must be something in the water supply. I am sure glad I filter mine!

AA picks up BNA-TPA 2x daily starting November 2nd. Equipment has yet to be provided, but most likely E175 regional jets like the seasonal service to Orlando (MCO).

This now makes 14 destinations that American serves out of BNA.  And this now makes four different airlines that fly between BNA and the three Tampa Bay airports:

• Tampa via American, Southwest, and Spirit
• St Pete-Clearwater via Allegiant
• Sarasota-Bradenton via Allegiant and Southwest

OK I give up.  I've read and reread that article but don't see Nashville or BNA mentioned.  Am I missing something?  Given that this thread is about BNA flights and airlines, is there something about BNA in this article that I didn't see?

Oh. Um,  I thought is was BNA, but look NAS for Nashville. It not right. NAS for Nassau.  Sorry. My bad.

Heard from a speech by Butch Spyridon this week that by (some date he mentioned but don’t recall) BNA expects more daily flights than pre-pandemic. Also that BA expected to return sometime in July and that leftover incentive funds are being utilized to facilitate re-start of the flight.

According to flightaware, we’re only down 3% from 2019 in terms of flights. I’m curious to see what passenger numbers for May look like.

This was a minor incident that happened at London Heathrow.

It has nothing to do with BNA

BNA’s passenger numbers for May were published today: https://flynashville.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/052021TotalPassengers.pdf

Total Passengers: 1,388,451. Up 588.5% over 2020, down 16.5% vs 2019. Given that passenger volumes are sitting at around 27% down(based on TSA screening), BNA continues to recover faster than the national average.
