Gulch question I can't find answers for-  Are there announced tenants for Market Street's new  office building?

Nothing was said by the MarketStreet people at the last GBID board meeting in January.  And they were mum about the retail tenants except to say that a couple of them will have openings onto the pocket park on the north side of the building.

The 5th & Broad office tower is an example of using diagonal heavy steel framing to build the elevator core, rather than a concrete core.   It adds a considerable amount of additional steel to the project.

You can see the steel elevator core being created in this photo.

@Baronakim I was replying to what @CenterHill recently said. There’s been a lot of discussion about some of these buildings that don’t have a concrete core. I was hoping my picture would show that it is possible to have a spot for the elevators in the middle of the building without having the concrete core in the middle of the building.

Lastly, not sure why 5th and Broad was being discussed in the Gulch topic, we can move this if necessary.

Just curious, is there a museum pass or something similar you can buy that gets you in to the smaller independent museums? I've always found it hard to believe that museums dedicated to specific people make enough money to cover operating expenses.

Visitmusiccity.com sells a “Total Access Pass” that allows you to choose from a large variety of attractions.

Saw core drillers on site at 501 3rd Ave S today. I can't remember if something has been proposed there.

According to this it looks to be an 11 story hotel.
