What's going on at the ol' Tiger Mart? You can see an excavator in the picture there and it's tearing up some of the parking lot.

I'm going to have to take a day to go through this (I scrolled through about 10 minutes and noticed how close my scroll bar was still to the top! lol) but I must say, this is astounding. The work that you and a few others put in on amazing resources such as this and the development map, as well as the vast amount of photographs others have taken to document projects (special shout out to Mark, but there are many other now!) have fostered an amazing community here, where everyone contributes their own information, photos, opinions, questions, and discussions. When I've browsed around other city forums, it's really remarkable how active this one is comparatively. And I believe it is absolutely due to the amount of care that you and a few others have put in. So, first off, thank you. And secondly, if nothing else, know that this community wouldn't be here if it weren't for people like you. And that's not to say that it would die if you stopped contributing, but I think the contributions you have made up to this point have allowed it to thrive so that it could survive if you stopped contributing. And that is truly special. So, thank you again and I look forward to spending some time going through this! As a relative newcomer to Nashville, this is a perfect resource as I'm still learning all of the recent and on-going projects (of which there are so many now!)

Looks amazing and definitely what I first thought downtown Nashville was missing when I moved here. Hoping to get over there soon to check it out. Just wondering, are all 200k sq ft of retail/restaurant space accounted for or might there be additional announcements?

I was thinking the same thing. Top Golf would be great at the Opryland hotel area, but there is so much developable land in/around downtown, that I think this adds a great experiential option for visitors (not to mention the fact that they have concerts there). Plus, it's a great place for corporate outings as well.

There's an Academy of Country Music that doesn't have space in Nashville already?

Hmm, yeah I'm not sure what to think about it. On one hand, it is a beautiful house, but for me, I feel like it really gives off a quaint "neighborhood" vibe and would prefer to have it in a quieter neighborhood (at least, if I owned it). Plus, I actually really like those homes on West End (Richland Hall, which I just learned are brand new, since they give off a nice historic vibe), so I wouldn't mind if the newer building had a similar look.

Yeah, I would say that it sits at the confluence of Broadway and West End Ave, so it fronts both streets

Same here. Admittedly I hadn't looked much at the site plan or recap of this development but to be honest, I had no idea there was even this much retail space available. I thought it was basically just a few restaurants, the museum, and the apple store lol. Really glad for the mix of clothing stores as well, which I felt had been lacking.

It was cheesy but not THAT bad lol. It's a shame the planning in Green Hills is so bad, because Vertis would be an amazing place to live otherwise (and probably worth the price tag). But the traffic and layout around there is just nonsense.

I was wondering why there was fencing up on that site. At least from the site plan, that portion of land is not a part of this development. Is there anything going on with that building pictured? Or is it owned by the same group and being used in some way to assist with this development?

Does anyone know what's going on at the old "Jamie" building, by the Belle Meade Town Center on Harding Pike? That building was recently demolished and it looks like there is more work on the site but had not heard any news about it.

What's wrong with Buckhead? I don't know much about it, but I had interviewed for a place there a while back and it seemed like a pretty cool place to live. With a fair bit of upcoming developments, metro station, and lots of shopping/amenities around. What has happened to it, and what about Broadwest might be like that? Developments that aren't working together, or..?

I don't think it looks good by itself since it's too blocky and wide, but I think it'd look alright with some taller buildings around it. Though I guess if they're TOO tall, it would also look out of place so idk.

Seems like a crazy amount of office space. What do you suppose would be the likelihood of it getting underway in the next year or so (though I'm sure it'll be done in phases)? On a side note, is there any good place to learn about commercial real estate leases (like, recent leases, quarterly absorption/space delivered, leasing % of buildings, etc) in a comprehensive way? I know bizjournals reports on the bigger stuff, but I've developed an interest in it lately due to how closely it is related with development. Even learning about what businesses are relocating, expanding, etc. is intriguing. Or is that kinda thing too "valuable" for brokers and the like? Just kinda wondering who has been taking up space in all the new + upcoming developments.

Am I misunderstanding something, or was there a change of plans? From previous readings (some articles, but also the recap in the 2nd post on this thread), it sounded like the office high rise would be in Phase II, which might begin after the first phase is done (with a 4ish year timeline). But this sounds like it might be in Phase I. Any ideas on that?

Seems like there are a lot of apartment projects popping up in Metrocenter. I wonder what's next for the area? I would think that area could begin to support larger mixed-use projects in the not-too-distant future

This is one of the developments I'm most looking forward to. Having just moved here, it seems like Nashville doesn't have a ton of master-planned mixed use ("live, work, play") developments, but it seems like this development would definitely classify. I wonder what Oracle's impact would be on it, though. I feel like their campuses tend to be more low/mid-rise sprawling campuses whose amenities are more aimed at those who actually work there (see their new Austin campus, for example). Though I'm sure the development activity that it would spur would be very welcome. Maybe I'm just hopeful that their (likely overly optimistic) renderings of high rises and open space would come to fruition.
