Repurposed/revitalized historical buildings in Nashville

Built in 1925, the home at 2123 Belcourt Ave. is being transformed into Bare Naked Bagel.  It is 2 stories and has 2745 sq. ft. of space.

^I was curious to see how tacky that deck would look so and go to their Facebook page and see where they painted the brick navy blue. It really looks stupid.

Update on May Hosiery redevelopment (original post in this thread June 26, 2106).  Lots of gutting and reworking the innards going on at the one-time sock factory at 429 Chestnut St., that was built in 1907, with several additions over the subsequent decades.

The middle building (office portion) of that complex is a very nice looking structure. Glad the whole place is being adapted for reuse.

Imogene + Willie is the current tenant in the one-time gas station/auto repair at 2601 12th Ave. South. The brick structure covers 1,648 sq. ft. and was built in 1920.

the street was widened in the 1920's  so the facades are from the 20's however the buildings between broadway and commerce on west side of 2nd ave n are much older built in the 1870's to 1900.  many of the buildings were three stories and converted to 2 floors when they widened the street

110 28th Ave. North is a former 1-story brick medical office that covers 3,200 sq. ft. that was erected in 1969, and was converted into a bar/music venue called The Local.

Humphreys Street Coffee is taking the space of the one-time church at 424 Humphreys Street in WeHo that was originally erected in 1940.  The 2 story brick structure has 3,658 sq. ft.

Good news on the Berger Building.  Rumors of it's demise are not true. 

Darden Copeland, owner of downtown’s historic Berger Building at 164 Rosa Parks Blvd. reports that random speculation of his desire to sell to the federal government as it constructs the courthouse on an adjacent parcel are false. The building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984.

Built in 1971, the 2 story, 10,049 sq. ft.  structure at 305 East Trinity Lane has recently been significantly upgraded and reimagined with 4 new businesses in place:

100-108 Broadway was built around 1870 and is 4 stories tall with 28,300 sq. ft. of space. The low brick addition in front was added  in 1994 when the Hard Rock Cafe became the tenant.

Flight 2121 is the new tenant in the 2 story, 4,032 sq. ft. brick building at 2121 Belcourt Ave. built in 1967.

1908 West End Ave, originally built in 1962, is now home to Saltine Restaurant.

Ha.  I didn't remember the 1960's structure was still part of it.     Vague recollections, but seems like it might have been a Burger King or something before Blackstone?       Blackstone did such a complete renovation in the 80's, adding the octagonal brew space, that I just considered the whole thing "new".   

The Saltine decor is not working for me at all, btw.       Something of a retro YMCA swimming pool vibe.      And that blue indoor/outdoor carpet.

The 2 story, 17,960 sq. ft. space at 109 2nd Ave. North was built in 1935, and has housed numerous entities over the years.  It is about to become the home for the first hot chicken restaurant in CBD, as Music City Chicken will open there in the near future.

In an amazing transformation, the one-time car wash at 2506 12th Ave. South that was originally built in 1958 is now upscale Urban Grub restaurant.

Yeah, I used to wash my car there (I live two blocks away).  When the developer announced they were going to convert it into a high scale restaurant and started work, I thought, "Good luck with THAT."  It still has some of the original walls inside. Turned out so much better than I imagined it would.
