Because they don't have a tenent. Amazon was to be offered the building first once a decision was made to build the tower.  Amazon doesn't want to lease another building and there are currently no other companies wanting to lease it.

The economy is a shambles, interest rates are through the roof, and banks are failing left and right. No one is going to build a spec office tower in this economy.

Banks are only failing left and right if your getting your information from Fox News . My whole family works in the banking industry and they feared something like this was going to set off the conspiracy and false accusations.   The economy isn’t in shambles, it’s balancing itself out after a few hard hits with a world wide pandemic . The truth of it all , is social media has a tendency of starting a lot of false and negative ideas to set people into a frenzy, to many believe everything they hear without having any knowledge about what’s actually the truth.

Yeah, I'm not really sure how someone can scroll past multiple photos of our skyline with 40 tower cranes on it and proceed to make a post about how 'the economy is in shambles.'

Yeah that's good for the billionaire developer class and the other oligarchs. However most people can't afford the crushing inflation and interest rates.

When you get to be older as I am, you get to witness stuff like this a few times. It’s a cycle that takes place every decade or so, I remember gas at 0.25 cents a gallon, remember people saying the same as you are now back 50 years ago when bread and milk went over a dollar. Of coarse we only made 100.00 dollars a week ( and I was in the Teamsters union) and a new 1400 sq ft home was 56,900 (really, in Connecticut ) but it’s always going to happen over and over again. We adjusted then, we will adjust again. Have you tried to go out to a restaurant lately, hard to find parking and usually have a wait, at least here in the Boro. Go to the movies on weekends, packed theaters, so I think everything is going to be ok, it just takes time. And all that billionaires money going into construction projects, keeps the economic growth on a continuous rise, despite some who try to paint a gloomy picture.

The government controlled banking system in the US is a complete scam.  The inflation rate is above the interest rate - BY DESIGN!  They never target inflation below the interest rate, only above.  When inflation is 8%, interest is 5%.  When inflation is 3%, interest is 1%.  Always.  This means anyone saving money in the bank is perpetually loosing buying-power to inflation.  As an asset, the US dollar is guaranteed to go down in value - by design!

Looking at those shots of that massive and extensive parking system, I really hope it will have a great way/method and/or tools/devices/signs to help patrons remember where they parked. 

This picture reminded me of something I said when I saw a similar photo that showed both Alcove and A2 under construction simultaneously.  My comment was that having two 400' towers u/c at the same time is a tremendous way to alter your skyline.  Well here we go again...times two!  The photo shows two (Prime and Pinnacle...the P''s if you will) and when you mentally include the two NY residential towers, boom!

Not sure there will ever be another city to rival what happened in Dubai.  And I mean EVER.

I had completely forgotten about the little retail building at the base of Pinnacle.  I do remember seeing it in the renders and these two shots show it rising.  Cool.  Second shot is just amazingly wonderful.  Pinnacle will block the view of several of those towers in the future.  Yet, that's such a cool thing because it means downtown is becoming more and more dense!!!!!  Love it.   Last thought: second shot also shows how that Church Street canyon many posters referenced years ago is really forming nicely.

Love to see this take shape! NY is definitely one of the top developments in the US right now on its scale to grow from an under-utlized area of downtown Nashville, into a dense high rise mixed use district. 

I do hope the proposed 600+ footer gets built in some form or another (and keeps the height), in the future. I'd love to see the developers pivot that tower into a hotel and residential. I don't see new skyscraper office demand happening for a few more years, unless an office tower has a signed, dedicated tenant.
