The former Impermanent Nashville (1211 57th Ave N). I guess they're calling it "Nations 57" - it would be weird to leave Impermanent as its permanent name.

 

The original murals appear to be intact throughout the interior of the building despite the complete repaint of the exterior. I assume the left wall is supposed to be a giant Migos meme.

 

Foundations for the 22 new townhouses behind the above building. The access to these is kinda weird, and I'm not sure where the "front" is supposed to be. There appear be alley-like access roads appearing from the back of Treaty Oaks (which itself culminates in a bizarre cluster of seemingly randomly oriented cottages in the back of its trombone-shaped street), to the right of the Nations 57 building, and from the pre-existing alley behind Tennessee Ave (emptying at the Morrow/Tennessee intersection), which has been fortified with a sidewalk and is fully paved.

 

I know someone already commented on this before, but I needed to post this close-up shot of 5101 Kentucky Ave's hilarious fake door, juxtaposed with the actual camouflaged entrance. Meanwhile, work continues on Catalyst Design Group one block over. The two warehouses started out looking pretty much identical, but the Catalyst office fully looks like an office now. Haven't seen any activity at  5101 Kentucky in months. It would sadly seem like while they made sure to paint the fake door to match their render, they didn't bother to install the bike rack or fix the sidewalk, which were also in the render.

Peg Leg Porker will expand with a location in The Nations that will have a slightly different concept on the triangular .37 acre property at 4901 Centennial Blvd, directly south across the street from the new Stocking 51 Phase IV expansion.  The purchase price was $1.1 million. The last time it sold in 2008, the price was $330,000. There are 2 structures on the lot.

I went to Czann's for a beer about 4 weeks ago and the owner (can't remember his name) sat next to us at the bar.  He said he was moving to a church in The Nations so I'm assuming this is it.  His product is very good.

Why don't they just use cloud services for hosting and Kindle readers for viewing?  I guess people want physical.

I went in about 10:15 Saturday morning and it there was a crowd. I was thinking the same thing, but actually seeing the books gave me ideas on things to read that I’d not have just looking online. They also sell lots a things that aren’t books. 
I’ll also add that the look of the store is pretty minimalist. Concrete floors, black ceiling, black walls and mostly black fixtures. For me it was less “minimalist chic” and more - we just didn’t want to spend much money. That works in some venues but I expect a little more in the Mall at GH. The NYC store I saw this summer wasn’t so stark. Just my opinion....

I vaguely remember reading some sort of national business story months ago that said these physical Amazon stores are intended to be temporary and not necessarily long-term. I'm not 100% sure on that, but it would help explain the minimalist design.

Sky Nashville (4 & 5 stories, 114 condos, 29 single family homes, 200 car garage) may finally be getting underway on 4.75 acres at 3301 Trevor St. on Sylvan Summit overlooking the I-40/440 interchange. Tree removal and stormwater grading permits have been granted to Hill 33, the developer. Ardavan Afrakhteh, the head of Hill 33, is hoping to start construction at the turn of the year.

Ram Realty Advisors has secured at $41.5 million construction loan from Pinnacle Bank for the 323 unit apartment complex they have planned for 3 years on 18 acres in Bellevue north of Hwy. 70 South and east of Old Hickory Blvd.  Construction Enterprises will serve as the contractor. No renderings or official name of the development yet.

Agreed!  I love what the neighborhood has become, and I know this is likely just a symptom of it being difficult to keep up with all of the rapid development, but it is pretty astonishing that there are almost no sidewalks to speak of in that entire area.
