    A few pictures of the inside of this old bank. If I had many millions I would love to buy this place and really pimp out the inside for my personal residence. You just can't recreate some of the characteristics this place has.

    I know the guy that lives there. His family bought it years ago, and they just never did anything with it. I will dig up some photos of the inside that my friend has. Its pretty damn cool inside. They need to sell.

    Was checking out this project yesterday and I am actually getting pretty excited about the glass panels sticking out of the front of the building. They really look bold!! Making more of a difference than I expected.

    My Lord I cannot agree more. Im confused. So the historical planning people are no ok with having a Walgreens on Broadway, but they are ok with putting in a suburban hooters knock off? At least the Walgreens offered a needed function. If we are truly prioritizing the feel and look of our tourist district we should not allow this imo.

    That is great to hear. Speaking of protected buildings I was fairly shocked to hear from the owner of the Standard that the building is not protected. I don't know the owner well, but we were talking business and he had mentioned that he would sell to a developer if the price was right. He said the building could be demolished. Considering its age and character that building needs to be protected 100%.

    I am still holding out hope for a possible late addition at the top of the building. Maybe a huge neon guitar sign!! joke But would really love to see a spire addition. Not sure of the range of costs there. Does anyone have any idea at the what kind of profits Tony is working to make? If he does well here I could see him following up when this is all said and done. new tallest could follow in the next few years.

    Im a Subway franchisee in the area, and one of my colleagues owns some of the property (And Subway) where this is being build. Also work in franchise development.

    His property is the strip club and the Subway. He had to put a ton of $$ into that Subway during build out, and it will eventually be torn down. Think the strip club has a little less than two years left so this might take a while. Pretty sure a little over 10 floors. Thanks for the welcome! Love your posts regarding transportation.

    They are going to make sure this building gets done right. One of the guys financing this project is a friend of mine. I am a little peeved that the old strip club building will be taken down. Its got some really nice features, and the oldest portion of the building looks old. First post ever! Been a fan of this board for years now.
