Blake Shelton’s Ole Red restaurant is back on for an early summer opening at Icon Park (they’re hiring until June 8 if you’re in need of work).

At 17000+sf this is gonna be quite a place it sounds like.

MLS Owners/Commissioner and the MLS Players Association have reached an agreement  today in collective bargaining negotiations preventing a lockout and enabling the season to resume. 

The league will resume play with a tournament in Orlando, closed to fans, but broadcast   over network and streaming services from  ESPN Wide World of Sports on Disney World property.  

The details of the tournament are not finalized, however, under the current plan, all teams would arrive in Orlando on June 24, then train for two weeks. After this mini-preseason, the tournament would commence with a three-game group stage followed by a single-elimination knockout round. Teams would leave Orlando immediately after being eliminated. The tournament would not be  scheduled to exceed six weeks.

Thought some of you might be interested in seeing an update on all the construction that has been going on at Universal Orlando (including the new Jurassic Coaster). We also cover the new safety measures that have been put into place.  We found them easy to follow and pretty quick to get through. They have social distancing markers in the line areas, masks are requirements and temperature screening. They also installed U-rest areas to take a break from your mask.

Great shots of the almost done refurb of Cinderella Castle in MK (rose gold beats gray; the new blue on the turrets is a wee bit much imo) and TRON in Tomorrowland where you can now see the track going into the show building:

Theme Park University is reporting hundreds laid off or furloughed at Universal Orlando.

While the MSM hedged on which team members are affected, TPU is saying it’s limited thus far to back of house positions which are non-guest facing.

Because it includes Universal Creative, it suggests EPIC is definitely pushed back for some time.

All of this is speculation so far. Stay tuned for more as we are able to confirm:

Ugh - am I the only one who hates the rose? I only first heard about this a few weeks ago and was very disappointed.

I remember first finding out other Disney castles were pink when I was a kid, and I was so glad ours wasn't.  I always thought our stood out as especially elegant with its realistic color scheme.  The pink it looks cartoonish in the worst of ways...it isn't lost on me that I am talking about a construction based on an animation, but nonetheless, a bummer to me!
