I hope this is well received by the neighborhood in which it has been built.  It looks like a very nice facility. If you have a few minutes, check out the slideshow accompanying the article. With two ice rinks, this will bring the total number of recreational rinks in the metro to six.

OK guys. I am working on a new project list. This one is a bear and is going to take a while to complete and to post. Maybe in the next few days. All I can say is there are almost three hundred projects recently completed, under construction or proposed. I have one master list on an excel program a couple of you have seen that goes back to 2000. Currently proposed and under construction like I said are almost three hundred and I have another almost 500 hundred completed and I know that is not the entire list.

It looks like the Hill Realty project on Hillsboro Road with apartments above retail.  The block that replaces the old original block of the Village.

I believe that one is nearby, but fortunately not directly adjacent to H'boro Blvd.

That's the project at 21st&Acklen. It's the one where they tore down some of the older structures in the Village. It's not the floating apartments that we are all looking forward too, but the actually bookend of the Village commercial strip.

I'm very curious to see the final results of this.

Correct.  The adjacent brick building on the far right in the pictuer is Bosco's on Hillsboro Rd in the Village.    It's been a slow to evolve project.

I've been trying to find an old photo of the Shelby street bridge. You can tell when you look at it now that it used to extend further than it currently does, but I've never actually seen a picture of what it looked like.
