New crane on Cullman. Looks to be mid block, so I don’t think this is the office project on the corner.

All work being done on Cullman Ave is part of a single project by Avery Hall.

In the picture below they own only the parcels ending in 3104 and 3146.  Parcels 3107, 3108, 3109 and 3110 are owned by Mecklenberg County (purchased by a FEMA flood grant) and will eventually be a part of the Cullman Ave Greenway (and hopefully a more expansive Queens Park.)

The Avery Hall project originally was just the corner parcel, but they added the second one (3104) early last year in a 2nd rezoning.  I am not sure if that has changed the renderings they shared in the past:

but I think it is just 1 big building.

Rumors are going around online saying the Y strung the community and possibly even their own Board around and lied to them about the possibility of remaining on the site, when the truth is that the Y is in such dire financial straits that they needed to sell this property to keep the other locations going. Don't know how true any of that is, but that's what people are saying.

As for the financial straits of the Y, I guess we will just have to take their word for it.  They have not shared any detailed  indication of financial stress publicly, to my knowledge.   They must have burned through that $18 MM Amazon money pretty fast...

Let's not forget the 10mm in PPP $..

But I guess when a South Charlotte Y needs a Glass Dome for its pool you have to make cuts and why not cash out one of the most diverse, community centered facility in the portfolio.

Not surprising here:

""The owner of Brooks' Sandwich House is considering a sale of the nearly 1-acre parcel the longtime restaurant sits on.

There are no immediate plans for the NoDa staple — which celebrates its 50th anniversary June 24 — to close, says David Brooks. It’s at 2710 N Brevard St.

“We’re in the preliminary stages of everything. Nothing’s changed. I’m simply exploring ideas and possibility,” he says. “The business is not for sale.”""

Talk about a transit oriented development the Pass is just that at the Sugar Creek station.

Fresh renderings: Construction ramps up on a 12-acre development in an up-and-coming strip near NoDa

Not even a single mention in the article about exactly where this goes on the site.

Inner Peaks has a new owner and is looking at expansion in NoDa (no details on where in NoDa, given the issue of ceiling heights I would bet this refers to the NoDafication of Sugar Creek over on Raleigh street) and three other Charlotte sites (eventually)

Historically North Charlotte (aka NoDa) extends to Sugar Creek and North Tryon 😇
