Today was probably the most work they've done in one day yet. I think there was at least around 8 concrete trucks come to the site. They've been at it for like 12 hours. Looks like they're cranking it up.

looks like the gates of hell to me,

for comparison, look at the earth movers compared to the sides of the hole.. hole is very very deep

Charlotte magazine reported it. They seemed to have some good info on all the projects, but there were several errors, so its hard to say that I would put 100% faith. I think it is possible though that they've found a willing lender.

Yeah, I was curious to see if the boycotts by Latinos today would have any affect on construction work, but I drove by Epicenter, Avenue and Trademark this morning and all seemed to be very busy.

It's seeming like they're really moving, for sure. The amount of effort that's gone into this is pretty impressive. I've got my fingers crossed that the results will be similarly impressive.

Maybe they will be able to be finished in 07 if they work like this. I think today was the most cement trucks i've seen in uptown in one day in my entire life.

^^^Thats why they started at 2am, so much cement had to be pumped before the end of the day. They actually filled that entire section with cement.
