Wasn't the initial plan was for a multiplex (6+ screens?) Later it was scaled back to a 1~2 screen upscale theater, and that's when the "bulge" next to the condo tower was removed.

That, IMO, is a mistake. I saw Epicentre as "uptown dining and entertainment for the rest of us-" rather than being ultra-upscale, it would be targeted mid-market. Besides, more screens means more movies, which means more people actually consider going there when they want to go to the movies.

Is the bowling alley still a go?

I agree, they do need more screens to promote people going. After all, it will be one of the first things you see leaving the arena and/or transit center.

go to the 2:36 webcam and look at the size of the bus in relation to footprint of 210 trade, that is amazingly huge, I can't wait til this thing is finished its going to be amazing where do they move the Crane when the tower starts going up???

I think they may work around the crane, like Skypoint in tampa. They will also probably pour the foundation today/night. Just a guess, but they need those lights to work at night, and they moved them all close to the foundation part.

I just found out the foundation will be poured starting tonight at 7 pm...it will be a 24 hour continuous pour.

Awesome, it's 4:30 and no trucks yet. But back in March there were about 8 trucks on the screen for only one frame. Check it out, March 15th, 12:46. I like it because they are all grouped together and the front four all are different colors. Yes, I have become THAT bored today.

Man that is insane. 24 Hours of pouring concrete. All the $$$ It probably costs for that concrete will make your head spin, as well as all the rebar put into that.

16 cement trucks are visible on the webcam. Maybe the most ever on one city block in Charlotte.

Well, I can honostly say watching them pour this much concrete here is more exciting than the Superbowl was.

That is the most cement trucks i've ever seen in one place. Pretty sweet.

There were at least half a dozen at the site when I walked past about an hour ago. That site is pretty active right now; can't wait to see the finished product.

I was there around 1045... there were 18 parked and 4 drove by... that was the weirdest thing I have ever seen, not expecting it and all...

Just picture that site, with a 50+ Story condo tower, a 17 story hotel tower, a few smaller buildings, and a ritz carlton tower just behind it on the parking lot.

This summer/fall will be incredible. So many projects will be under construction: Epicentre 210 trade, Vue, Trademark, TWELVE, Avenue, Wachovia, Ritz, Citadin, Royal Court, quarterside, possibly berkman,etc. + more announcements. Off topic now.
