Major Developments

You're correct about all of that I say. You'd be more bold yet to say that it was perfect and unflawed. Now government is perfect, even our own federal government is imperfect and never shall be close to being perfect. There is no need to "boldly" say that your government is flawed because no matter what city, town, county, region, state, or country you go to, there's bound to be something wrong with the way the administrate benefits and freedoms to their residents.

Perhaps you would like to air your feelings about myself since its obvious you have something to say.

I dont think that him disagreeing with you means he has any ill feelings toward you.

Anyway, my short 2 cents worth, is that the tax increase being proposed will end up hurting the people it intends to help, more than it helps them (as taxes such as that tend to do).

"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of misery."

Ok I'll try and sort of take us back to where you guys want this thread to go.

Today riding down T'ville road I started noticing several signs in folk's yards saying NO 3 STORY CONDO or SAVE OR NEIGHBORHOOD. The signs were in the area of Sandhurst/Hermitage and T'ville road. What exactly are they talking about? Anyone know anything? I sure don't. Is this the work of Tally's famous NIMBY's?

Remember when the area just to the south of that area...around T'ville and the RIDES (North, South) was up in full arms about how awful the Tai Chi center was going to be? How it was going to ruin the area w/their "crazy religion." Remember that? That was a full case of ignorance and complete NIMBY (ism) b/c that location is one of the best looking developments on the whole street and you never notice their cars and traffic like you do the w/the school across the street.

So I ask What's up at Sandhurst and is this a case of NIMBY's gone wild again?

^ I'm surprised that no one knows anything about this yet. Anybody know what proposal they are against? Anyone seen the signs/placards in the yard? I believe they said NO 3 STORY CONDO, but I could be wrong. It's hard to read then you are driving past at 45mph, I was hoping the light at Sandhurst/Hermitage would catch me, but of course when you want it to, it doesn't.

There was a nice little house that sat on a corner lot next to these developments. I wish they would have hauled it off to someone who could have used a better house instead of knocking it down  . But does any one know what they are putting up in it place? The lot was next to Old-Mexico.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but a new BB&T is going to be built next to the Cpital City bank service center on CCNE. I think this is where I saw the sign anyhow. Also, the vacant store on timberlane across from the vet near Gilchrist was torn down. Does anyone know what is going up in it's place?

There is a major development in the works for Downtown. If all goes well, which my sources expect will, Tallahassee will not only be getting a 300+ Bed Convention Hotel for downtown (likely Embassy Suites or Marriott) but also A NEW CONVENTION CENTER!!!!!!!!!

We should know for sure next week!

I will break the rest of the information as soon as I'm comfortable our discussions will not affect the closing of the deal.

TJ, how would our discussions on here effect the deals with what actually happens? I'm not trying to say that they would not, I am genuinly curious as how they could.

Being that everything we publish to this site is searchable on Google, there is a chance that sensitive information is spoken before the ink settles. I'd just rather wait to make sure.

Someone's been "hop-knobbing" w/movers and shakers of this town. Wow TJ, whoever you've been hanging w/this weekend, they have pumped you full of great info.

I found this site a year ago using Google, so I definitely understand your reluctance to tell the full story from your source.

This is great great news. I'll not ask any questions or specifics until you update us again w/more info.

Good job!
