GSA Business is currently working on doing an update story on this project. Hopefully we hear more soon.

Yep: https://gsabusiness.com/news/real-estate-commercial/83488/

115 units. Construction price tag of $50 million. Construction to start in Fall 2023 and take two years to complete.

Hopefully the part calling it 5 stories is a typo...

I’m pretty sure it is. The number of apartment units listed in the article pretty much confirms that it will be nine stories and $50 million seems like too much for a five story building. The rendering shown in the article is also the nine story one.

I guess the Delano is officially dead as there is an available sign there now. I think the 71 Mayberry sign was also gone but I could have missed it.

That sign has been up for a long time now and it’s for the available office and retail space within the future building not for the land. Construction isn’t slated to start until Fall 2023.

P&C used the old rendering for that article, didn't they?

This is the only rendering I have seen and it’s the only one that’s been approved by the city. However, the number of proposed units has increased from 97 to 139. I’ll email Spencer at the P&C and see if I can find out.

No, we've seen the taller version, and it's gone before the DRB I believe. It's also what is on the Delano website: https://delanounitypark.com/

The one on the website and the one in the P&C article are the same rendering. One is just zoomed in. The number of floors is the same. It’s only been approved by  the PC and that was back in April 2022:

No -- look again. The one on the P&C is the old, smaller design. Just seems to be an oversight on their end.

Smaller design, 6 floors on the left side:

Current design, 8 floors on the left side:

Oh crap. You’re right. I didn’t even notice that. Good eye. I’ll let Spencer know for sure about the updated one.

edit: the updated rendering is for 115 units so it may have gotten taller even more since.
