Asurion HQ update: Grand staircase along 11th Ave. North open to public; Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions shop at intersection of 11th Ave. North and Porter St. prepping to open.

Asurion HQ update:  2,050 employees have moved into the new $285 million complex, with room for up to 650 more.

Among the features, employees will find a food hall with six stations; a place to pick up and drop off dry-cleaning; a gym with classrooms and showers; a bike repair station; rooms for prayer and nursing mothers; a barista in the lobby; an art gallery; and ample outdoor spaces.

Well done building, inside and out

An incredible development. These are some pictures I took on various days but hadn't posted until now.

I love the greenspace and open area at the base of the building at 11th. This will be really nice when the other similarly sized building is developed to the south. The view to the west will be really cool once Nashville Yards fills in, such a cool little nook:

Next, the monumental stair leading to the Church Street Viaduct:

Love the landscaped terrace between 11th and the stairs:

The elevated plaza between the office space and 11th is very nice as well:

The view from that plaza will be very cool once the rest of the Mid-Gulch fills in.

Looking down Church Street. You can see the grade change of the viaduct along this area, it's too bad they couldn't connect this area to the viaduct and have a wider walkway along Church Street:

I have heard a little something on one of these towers, but I can't share just yet, but it is somewhat good news.

Leads to the notion that the residential portion is a go while the office isn't or maybe the office has tenants.

Dude if the office can't get tenants it won't get built at any height. Developers have trouble financing 9 story office buildings without tenants yet alone 50 story buildings.

Was just looking at the updated Google map images.  The Gulch Central site looks clean yet I can't tell if there's been any excavation or not.  I think it has been like that for awhile, yet it still stokes my hope.

Noticed today everything has been removed from the site of gulch central and is completely cleaned up.  Anything swirling there?

Not that I can find. No permits applied for or issued that I can find or have seen. I have heard that the residential will be built before the office portion if that is any consolation. All of the approvals I think have been met for this project, so all they would have to do is apply for permits. I do not know how the infrastructure is around the site.

It looks as if they are doing work at the Element site for utilities and Metro is behind everywhere else, so this is probably no exception.

That’s good to hear. I was wondering about this one when I asked about the Edition hotel yesterday, but never got around to asking about this one. I kinda forgot about Metro being behind so I’m sure that explains a lot of hold ups for some of these projects.
