Pretty cool Website detailing Phase 1 of the Pearl.  I’ve attached a screenshot of the website rendering showing the Pearl Phase 1 and the New Atrium Patient Tower that’s beginning construction.  A lot of Medical Building going on.

the first park for African americans in Charlotte was the Pearl St Park.

Ah thank you. I see Pearl Street no longer exists around there though apparently there’s one off of WT Harris now.

The 313,000 sq ft 905 Pearl Parkway 10 story building under construction now will be 40% preleased with the IRCAD the French based surgical training center.  This is the first time I have seen how much space they will take.

""Vrochides said he has two immediate goals once the facility opens. First, to occupy the full 125,000 square feet available to IRCAD on the innovation district campus within three years. It will initially occupy about 90,000 square feet, he said. Second, to launch with at least 40 full-scale courses, and within three years, meet or exceed the number of courses France offers each year.""

At the very least it wouldn't be that hard to have a decent electric bus running down Morehead every 5-10 minutes with some benches added at stops so people could connect from Carson Station to the Hospital area.
