Either way, this isn’t as big of a deal as it appears. Short-term blip - 1,000 store closures over the next several years sounds like a lot, but they’ve netted 434 additional locations in the past 4 quarters. They will continue to open more stores than they close and their corporate headcount will more than recover. They’ve also increased their footprint at Summit Pointe, taking the last floor at 555 Belaire, further indication they are projecting growth. 

The story must be reported nevertheless.  Mere reportage should never be construed as commentary.
