After seeing the (nearly) finished product that is the Pinnacle building, I hope Amazon 3 (if it's ever built) will be a very different design.

Too late. The tower has already been designed and they ain't changing it. You're stuck with it.

From the renders, iit seemed A3 would be different, yet it would be similar enough in design to complement the lines and angles of Pinnacle.  Curious to know what you don't like about Pinnacle if you're willing to share.

Agreed, it’s not bad .. but it’s not overly enthusiastic or revolutionary. And as you said, nothing is set in stone as to this particular building or any other until the final nail is in place.
it’s presumed to be designed and waiting on Amazon to decide to make the move, but we know it’s really not Amazon’s tower or decision they just have first right of refusal. It can very easily be redesigned and replaced with something else, maybe mixed use, residential or even hotel. Could be 10 stories or 70 stories, we’ll just have to wait and see.

About a year ago, there was some speculation that a grocery store would go into the Yards, perhaps in the bottom of the twin residential towers.  Has anyone heard an update about this?  My apologies if I'm asking a question that has already been answered.

I'd like to hear more about that myself since there's very little to choose from in that area unless you drive over to Charlotte Ave.  That would be close enough that I could walk which would be great!

Don't forget the modern Publix over on  8th Avenue.  That is relatively close to downtown and a Kroger is only a little further.  That will serve WeHo residential megablocks rather well, I would think.
