Much more dignified.  The stupid arches look like they were designed for the Animanics.  if I were a professor in an Architecture 3rd year design class, I might give the arched proposal a C-.

I think the Covid pandemic must have hurt AEG pretty hard, since their main revenue stream (concerts, entertainment) was shut down for two years.  They do seem to be more cautious and selective with their construction decisions.

I don't know if I would call the original design art deco (top rendering).  It was also a rather plain box, but I liked it marginally better than the new design.  The swooping arches and curves are just not my thing.   When I first saw the new design my first thought was stucco (yikes!), but based on AEG's updated website, the materials appear to be brick and metal (bottom rendering).   It might end up looking better when you're up close.

If it's like a lot of other entertainment districts, it's likely to have giant billboards/posters of coming attractions, sort of a mini mini Times Square.

Not exactly major news but for those of us who walk on Church Street they're tearing out the old sidewalk next to Nashville Yards and moving the fence out towards the street.  I'm looking forward to when you can walk on new sidewalks including the one next to the Prime tower all the way down Church Street but it will take awhile.

The sidewalk situation in this area has been incredibly frustrating. You have to cross to one side to get past Prime, then switch over to the other to get past 1010, only to have to walk in the street to avoid NY. This whole situation doesn’t feel like it’s in spirit with the ordinances regarding keeping right of way for pedestrians.

I remember the difference between how the Lifeway office brought the area.  I'm truly Thankful to see this developed.
