Legacy Union (former Charlotte Observer redevelopment)
stw52 replied to Missmylab4's topic in Charlotte
I remember when Legacy Union launched and there was great fanfare with BlueLine riders handed mock newspapers with the breaking story of a new area for Uptown. Have to sadly laugh now as it is the least used area in Uptown by the public. Its a whimper of what it was sold as. I don't see 284 apartments drastically changing anything. Parked in the mega deck once, absolute nightmare trying to get out. Never again. -
Is anyone else getting SSO Error 2 when trying to access using the Taptalk app?

Does CATS/CDOT not have a process to maintain what they already have? Clearly not as demonstrated with their trains.

Looks like the long running disagreement about greenway access to Little Sugar Creek from Park Crossing has come to an end. Courts ruled against the last home owner who was objecting against the easement access point. The lack of real time tracking is a big reason I don't even consider BLT for my uptown commute. I have little interest in looking up schedules and arriving at the station hoping the train is still on that schedule. As a commuter i look for ease. I should be able to look at an app on my phone to see when the next train is, and i should be able to use my phone to pay a fair tapping on and off. These technologies have been on other internaltional systems for years and it is not a source of issues/problems. CATS just have a knack in making use of their transport systems difficult. I wanted to use it this weekend but it is down for maintenance. It just isn't inviting.

Is the Moxy back on? If the CTC development happens it should be a no brainer.

First Ward Urban Village / North Tryon Vision Plan
stw52 replied to uptownliving's topic in Charlotte
According to the Ledger "The Museum will remain open through May 15 and then will move to VAPA, the Visual and Performing Arts Center nearby on North Tryon Street." -
Looks like a squished down, fattened Legacy Union with a crap parking deck pooped out the rear and right.

This was my old stomping ground and most days there is no smell. But drove past today and could smell it even though my cars windows were shut. One of my favorite greenways and i love that they kept the old cars and integrated the access to the biking Backyard Trials.

If you want to venture to the Whitewater center, they are doing their green water this weekend. But yep, will be cold!
