I lived in Ashton Southend (before Southend exploded!) and would highly recommend it. I walked into uptown each day to work - great way to clear the head.

Living in the take off flight path in south Charlotte, it is wayyyyy noticeably more quiet. Sad to say but a small silver lining to the current dire airline industry conditions. I can only imagine the locals uproar when flights resume saying it is loader than before.

? heard from a friend today that the old MacDonalds at Park and Woodlawn is being replaced by a Chase Bank. Is this right? I find it an odd site for a new Chase location.
