  1. ^^^The Tennessean review for Handcut is brutal. Both service and food quality. Maybe it will get better,
  2. ^^^Kid Rock acts like a 15- year-old boy. It's the strangest thing that he just never grew up. Talk about a rebel without any true cause, other than needing attention 24/7.
  3. ^^^I think you may be wrong about the tourist attendance. Because that will make up for what is needed in both Las Vagas and Nashville for a lower population, Why else would investors take a chance on us? I understand your frustration, but that's how they are coming up with the calculations. I keep up with Charlotte and y'all are killing it. You should be very proud of your city!
  4. ^^^What Vanderbilt and Belmont are building in Nashville is better than what was there before IMO.
  5. ^^^I agree, but I do think with so many students and young people on a budget that it would be well received.
  6. So it looks like IKEA is going to open 8 more stores in the US. What do y'all think our odds are with the Memphis store so close by. Maybe a small urban store?
  7. ^^^As a native Tennessean this is the saddest day in my 57 years as a citizen of this state. It's straight up racism.
  8. Shameful! But, I'm so proud of the Nashville citizens for coming together to support the future of Tennessee. Mark my words the Tennessee 3 are the stars of the show!
  9. ^^^Maniac's Restaurant has the best chicken tenders in Nashville IMO. They have been in business for 18 years. If you are old enough to remember Houstons Restaurant on the West End. Same fingers and hand cut fries. I go for my fix every two weeks or so.
  10. ^^^To me the Odessey location on that corner with that view should be a high quality old world architecture that one would find in Paris. A cafe with outdoor seating as well. Every tour bus in Nashville comes to a complete stop at that spot. That's one of the best views in Nashville!
  11. The most highly rated restaurants in Nashville don't have a dress code. Not one of the James Beard Award winners or nominees in the last 10 years has cared what you wear as long as you have the money. I personally like that way.
  12. The RTA has been very successful so far. It runs from Spring Hill thru Franklin as well as Clarksville, Springfield, Gallatin, Dickson. Some are running 4 Prevost busses in the morning and evening. Grayline is in charge of the operation.
  13. In and around Paducah. The murals on the flood wall are some of the best I've seen. Kirchhoff's Bakery in city market is the best place for lunch. The National Quilt Museum sounds boring but is worth seeing for sure. If you head north a visit to New Harmony for it's outdoor sculpture art is over the top. Their welcome center looks like The High Museum in Atlanta.
  14. ^^^Agree with you Ron. The piece was poorly written with no new information. That's saying something considering my history of misspelling and bad grammar.
  15. Middle Eight will be located just behind the pre- civil war home of Toby Mac. The new streetscape between Downtown and The Factory is just weeks away from being completed. The two shopping and entertainment areas being within walking distance will be a powerhouse destination in Tennessee to visit. I'm super excided about this!
  16. The folks behind Layer Cake on 3rd are putting a restaurant there. They are out of Dallas? I think. They plan to do 4 concepts here.
  17. I gave up on Green Hills and Belle Meade during the AMP days. I could care less what happens to these entitled people. Like what was said before just let the old shopping center melt into the ground. They certainly don't care about anyone else in the city. Just getting the help back and forth to their home for crap they are to good to do for themselves.
  18. ^^^Why aren't more people concerned about the out-of-town owners paying more? I just don't understand. They want to be in this market more than any other city.
