  1. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to that May opening.
  2. I'll try to peek in soon but I agree that it looks done. Unless there's kitchen/brewing equipment they're waiting on. I hope so too. I haven't been there in a minute but most Thur-Sat nights they seem pretty busy.
  3. Planning commission approved Harmony Hall's request to add the outdoor beer garden. I would imagine it will do well. https://www.woodtv.com/news/grand-rapids/grs-harmony-hall-to-add-bridge-street-beer-garden/ Also, I noticed Cedar Springs Brewery's Küsterer Brauhaus has made some progress, tables in chairs are inside all wrapped in plastic. I'm interested to see the growth west down Bridge St.
  4. This just keeps looking better and better. Thanks for keeping us all up to date.
  5. Just saw the story this morning, glad no one was hurt or any of the adjacent structures damaged. I can't imagine this parcel will sit empty for too long after the site is cleared.
  6. Dave Engbers is still on board but I'm not sure about John Green.
  7. Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to check it out.
  8. Pretty sure that's the Gunnison and Fulton project. Can't remember if there were renderings posted here.
  9. Isn't this how we got Big O's and Raggs to Riches/Ambiance??
  10. They'll think we're cheap and have no taste level.
  11. Sounds like an interesting concept. Looking forward to trying it out.
  12. Looking forward to this addition to the neighborhood and the beer scene on Bridge St.
  13. I thought the same thing! I realize these are preliminary images but nothing about this design screams Scandinavian hygge, hopefully the interior would feel that way. The move out of the core of the entertainment area is a huge gamble, there's no supporting/collaborative businesses around the new location. That being said, perhaps folks will be more willing to walk, bike/scooter, bus between the ends of the street.
  14. Hmm, very interesting. I don't remember hearing/seeing anything about this project yet. I'll have to make it a point to walk on over and take a look.
  15. Couldn't agree more. Friday night along the river with live music happening at Linear and City Built, plus the fireworks, it was absolutely buzzing down there. So cool to see so many people out along the river, just enjoying the open space.
  16. This was reported by local news when it happened, I'm not sure if the stories are still posted anywhere but it was reported on. I feel like this happened very late at night/early morning, like 3-4 AM after a previous shooting, inculcating same shooters.
  17. It's an okay place, tasty bar burger. Draws a strange crowd of weekend warrior bikers and bros.
  18. I can only imagine the neighborhood pushback on this project.
  19. The curb cut out onto Fulton isn't my favorite thing either. Does anyone know how Bloomfields is involved in the cannabis industry? I couldn't find anything on the googles.
  20. I feel like Saugatuck's beer is more approachable to a wider audience. Creston had some esoteric flavor profiles that turned off a lot of people and some of their standard beers were just so-so. Saugatuck has been in business a lot longer and should be able to bring more people into the Creston location. Overall I think it's a good fit for the neighborhood.
  21. Finally confirmed! This has been a long time coming.
  22. I noticed that too, walking by it a couple weeks ago. It was the Mayan Buzz Ice Cream/Tamales shop but never seemed to get off the ground. They also vacated their space in the Bridge St Market.
  23. I feel like that was approved for east of Seward Ave.
  24. There's a Turnstiles sign on the building across from the Clique on Stocking. Did the location move from Leonard to Stocking? Doesn't look like there's too much work going on in the building on Stocking.
