I was in Dartmouth yesterday and there were tons of tents outside Best Buy. I couldn't help but yell out DONT YOU PEOPLE HAVE JOBS?! as I drove by.

If you make some assumptions, it might be worth the vacation day.

Say it takes you 24 hours of standing in line plus 4 hours of processing (paying at the store, posting on ebay, shipping, etc.). That's 28 hours.

So it costs you $600 + taxes ($30) + ebay listing price ($10 or so?), so $640. You get $1200 for it and you made $560. So $20 an hour for basically sitting around. If you think in terms of work days, it's $560 for 16 hours or vacation time or $35/hour.

Of course the equation isn't quite that easy. There is a chance you won't get the $1200 and a chance that even waiting in line you won't get a PS3. And, it looks like it might be more like 40 hours sitting in line.

so basically while they might have a job... they don't have a life? :lol:
