This is what happens when you take a quick snapshot of a in-progress model to demonstrate something to a client and they go and publish it on their website or show it to a news outlet. This being from experience.

A cool tour with Emily Loeks of Studio Park. Apparently some of the bricks on the buildings are from Studio 28. And the address is 123 Ottawa and their very first theater downtown was at 123 Pearl.

Wow, that's glaring. Does anyone have any idea of the square footage? The space seems pretty tight to me.

My guess would be a smidge over 500sf.   Pretty much all of the units hitting the market over the last few years are tight.  I think they are going for more of a "Euro-chic" living style(not to mention you can squeeze more dollars out of more square feet with tiny ass apartments).  You can basically fit an IKEA love seat and chair in these living rooms, no matter how many bedrooms the common area's are too small.  That is if you like big squishy couches like myself.

This alley is interesting. Looks like 3 levels of bridges from the ramp to the project (?).  Looking South down through the alley between the West apt building and the ramp. 

 

 

 

Which corresponds with the other alley looking West, from a few months ago.

I like the exposed block.  looks like it's only partial wall and not an entire hallway

I think the blocks are a matter of taste. I didn't they were at all bad either.

I heard a couple weeks ago that the movie theater will be open in 100 days which seems kinda crazy to me

Yes, some kind of glaze or etched look would have been cool and inexpensive.

I liked these at their rendering stage but that usually come back to bite me.  However,I think this has turned even out better than I expected it to.  Adds a great feeling of density when walking around too.

I'm curious as to what the hotel will come out like.  Rendering did not make it clear what material they were going to use clad the building.  Looks like maybe some EFIS or some kind of metal siding?

I think it’s all going to be brick/masonry. They’ve been working away at bricking the back of it and it is clear they are prepping for masonry on the front. Also there are massive stacks of charcoal colored bricks on the site.

Waiting for the influx of residents to start populating the Cherry/Division and Heartside parks.  Maybe it will also give the Downtown Market a needed shot in the arm.
