The impact on the skyline from the south is dramatic, but honestly it's a little underwhelming from the north. It blends in with the 12 story muddle.

From the west it looks really disconnected from the rest of the skyline, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

This building can be seen from west of the Rivertown Parkway exit on I-196E.

Hopefully Loeks develops the lot into a mixed use building if crisis doesn’t build.

Agreed. Even if Acrisure decided to build there, I hoped it would be expanded to include more residential on top of the office space.

Depending on what happens at Market/Fulton, the center of the skyline may really move south very quickly

Agreed.  ThoughI feel like the area around Calder Plaza desperately needs some infill/repurposing/life. Once you get north of Lyon it's an absolute dead zone with nothing but those boring 1960's office boxes that are nearly void of life after 5pm.   If momentum keeps shifting south  it could get down right creepy in the old urban renewal zone.  But hey, at least the HPC is here to let us know that the city/county building are precious pieces of history that can't go away.

Ideally, they'd tear down those two, and combine them into one tower, and use the new space for the convention center hotel.

And for the calder on top of the county building. Why not remove the roof, and use it as the new "floor" of a revamped calder plaza? Place it under acrylic so it can be seen and protected.

Article is behind a paywall, but you can see some really good skyline photos of what the views will be like in some of the units:

Sounds like they are shooting for next Summer for completion and they have good interest in the condos (hopefully this will encourage more condo development downtown in the future).
