I notice the North Tryon street work was deleted, but the construction is still going on.   I think we can keep Camp North End as long as there are active improvements.   I've seen recent construction on the Graham side, so I think until their capital expenditures are done, might as well keep the detail on the map.

I added the greenway improvements by the new Atrium Hospital plans, and a number of other items from the rezoning list, including apartments planned across the rail from Optimist Hall, and the commercial building (likely Walgreens) on the Epicurian site in Dilworth.

Some suggestions in Optimist Park:

-Add Lintmen's project at 26th & North Davidson

-The Greenway park north of 25th-27th is no longer planned and now follows the XCLT through that  part of town (as correctly shown)

-The N Davidson to Matheson section of the XCLT has incorrect info should be this:

During this phase, the city uses a competitive bidding process to procure the services of contractors to build the project. Done x3.   I left the land assemblage of what would have been that park.  It is still owned by the public (Meck County) so it would seem odd that they don't make it a park, but we shall see.

Except that land isn't publicly owned, they only have the ROW along the creek banks. There is going to be a large multifamily and commercial development on one of the parcels. (https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2020/10/02/proffitt-dixon-partners-optimist-park.html)

The reason they moved the Greenway/XCLT to the old rail spur is because they did own the land and it made the project easier.

We were speaking of different spots, I see.  The green land in this screenshot is one this is owned by Meck.   That is the land that shown on the dev map as being greenway / park.

I saw the Observer article.  I was confused about the paragraph on the Duke Energy building.  First it said 41 stories, then it said 40.   Anyone know which it is?

I hear 41 then I hear 40.  they do skip the 13th floor at least on the construction elevator markings on the Tryon side.  They are so secretive about this building probably won't find out until it is complete.  

I stayed at a hotel in Hong Kong and they skipped every floor with a 4 in it ( four sounds like Death in Chinese) so it was like looking a bunch of lottery numbers in the elevator.

Enjoy looking at your map as I take care of Nashville's Development map. Two different animals as I keep everything on there pretty much from 2000 as I just update instead of delete. Yes its a royal pain in the rear but I have no idea what the heck they will do once I am dead. No one wants to help me with it. 

It is interesting keeping all of the info on the map as it is a running history of the projects as they go up, but I do like the way you guys do it and I sort of wish I had done it that way but too late now.

I'm unsure of how to edit, but several other projects can be removed due to completion.

I think it might be a good idea to leave projects on the map until Google maps satellite view is updated to include them. I’m not putting in the effort to maintain the map though so if that is too much to ask then I apologize.

We've always removed when the project is done.   Hard to predict when satellite will be updated by Google.

Probably need a few folks to help pop in and audit the map, I think there's a lot that is complete still on there and newer developments missing. I don't get around center city like I used to!

FNB and JW Marriott can be removed.

Also, the deicing pad and southern cross field taxi way need to be added at the airport.  Currently under construction.

Someone deleted Pearl St Park, and all the development around it.    Is that all actually done?  Last week, I went by it was still under construction. 

Please be sure to post when you delete to help others know when a place is done. 

(Pearl st park is listed as not being finished until this Fall)

 

 

Removed St Pauls Townhomes in Belmont, they were done when i went by the other day. 

Removed Oxford Gateway. 

 

Added detail to Spectrum's building at Carson and Mint and added 400 Carolyn Lane apartments
