They do sell beer and maybe wine...and have some food options.  Similar to Starbucks.  Things tend to be more local - the donuts at the Hourglass location were coming from DG (winter garden) and Gideon’s before that.  The 390 N Orange location had food from Dovecote.

They don’t have an app but have a points system that connects to your credit card and/or phone number when you pay

I understand how these plans might make some folks uncomfortable.  And I, too, find celebrating potential economic benefit to the area abhorrent. On the other hand, I personally find this design

Foxtail also offers mobile orders and a wider menu. They utilize local resources and often team up with other local small businesses in many locations. These are the types of businesses that help contribute to the character of Orlando and local community. 

Foxtail is clearly an upgrade for the space Starbucks vacated. Starbucks is still great though. They made the logical decision to move south to their new building in the shopping plaza, with more drive thru capacity.

I will always support local over anything. Doesn't matter how lazy I get. An app is simply not worth supporting a chain from Seattle than a local shop from our own city.

I like this location. Easier to walk to for us folks north of Michigan.

A chain is a chain.  There's like 20 Foxtails now.  It's not a destination.  That location has potential to be something unique to SoDo / Wadeview and make it so people want to come to our neighborhood.  Similar to the fact that people will go out of their way to go to Ivanhoe/Virginia for GBs or Ten10.

But there is much better local coffee, too.  You'll find me at Lineage or Deeply or Easy Luck.  :)

I make the one cup of McDonald's McCafé  brand coffee I drink per day at home.

If I buy a cup away from home, Wawa works fine for me.

7-Eleven will do in a pinch.

The day I pay 5 bucks for a cup of fu-fu coffee at some fashionable, hipster coffee house will be the day that.... oh, I don't know....

Won't be.... a regular day....

Or something like that. :dontknow:
