I've always loved that view of the skyline from Finlay Park with the grass and trees in front. It just makes me happy.

If you walk around to your far right you pick up the tower at Sumter and Gervas and still get the green grass and trees. It adds a lot of dimension. Beautiful shot, though.

The "cap" isn't as tall as I thought it would be. I expected it to be equal in "volume" to the notch in the center.

Thanks for the new pics, guys (gals?)!!! I must say, reluctantly, that I am a bit disappointed in the building, but I want to see it in person before making a final conclusion. It just seems about 4 stories too short to me. I know! I know! Height isnt' everything, but a building there in that prime spot should be taller in my very, very humble opinion.

^I agree that it would have looked a bit more fitting had it been taller, but we should be glad that Columbia was able to snag this tower, especially in the middle of a global recession.

WIS TV finally fixed/moved their tower cam. TMG looks pretty, well, shiny...lol.

This tower looks amazing at sunset from West Columbia. It's gives off the brightest reflection of the entire skyline. Someone needs to snap a photo

The plaza doesn't seem to be anything special, but I'll withhold final judgment until it's complete. I'm also assuming that the glass facing the plaza will be clear once that space is upfitted for whatever restaurant is coming there:

heres some picture of the main and gervais tower i took after the Christmas parade saturday past.

PS I asked one of the construction workers about when the tower will be finish and he said that becuase of some delays it might be completed in March or May
