Anyone go to the Urban Tour? How was it? I wanted to go but something came up and just couldn't make it.

Heard from a friend of a friend that Dunkin' Donuts is coming to Main Street soon. I hope this is true - i love that place

New store coming to Main Street (Next to Atlanta Bread - 1301 Main St) - In the retail section of The State

Someone told me the work is happening at that 1556 Main building (corner of Main and Taylor) and Sherlock Holmes is scheduled to be moving in basement and another restaraunt opening on ground floor. This building has been silent for awhile - but good to hear work has started again.

Jammin Jazz - The Underground Lounge has now opened in the old Jammin Java Location. Walked by a grabbed a menu - the best thing is that they are open until midnight and the owner said they will be soon serving adult beverages. It is suppose to have live Jazz and open breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Once I try it out - I will report back - and if someone does please let us know

Pic of the new Nickelodeon when it moves to Main Street near corner of Taylor. That should really help the evening activity on Main Street. Someone told me that they want to put a coffee shop there during the day.

That will be a nice addition to Main St. They also said there would be 4 restaurants /bars in there as well. I can't wait to see the finished product

I went to this tonight WOW. I did a casual head count and I had over 1000 people on Main St tonight. The retail stores were packed, condos packed, music, dance, art,... it was absolutely amazing

Fountain sounds cool - does anyone have a picture or rendering of what it is going to look like?

Most developers know this would be a sweet spot - but you can barely "build" condos for these prices and that does not include land, fees, etc. I agree that if you are looking for these prices you will need to buy an older condo in the downtown area.

They are dressed up garden garden apartments. I picked up a packet and there is no elevators with open walk up stairs and they are stick built. Not very secure and won't be very sound resistant. Gag me, I would hope they would have put out a better quality product. Maybe the next phase.

With construction costs going crazy and more projects being announced, only seasoned developers will be able to complete concept to reality. I don't know this lady, but my gut is that you will never see it come alive.
