I take it that the city council postponed approvng this project (ie selling the right of way to the developer) because that was originally scheduled to have happened some time ago. My guess would be that the developer is looking to reduce or maybe eliminate that part of the request.

According to the Greenville Journal since this project pissed so many people off, it is getting a redesign.

I love how when these buildings are announced they always say construction is close to starting. Is this thing still a go, or is it just another pinnacle.

I was under the impression that this is still hung up on the city's deeding over the sidewalk encroachment. I assume the naysayers raised enough stink to send either the agreement between the city and the developer, or the building plans itself, back to the drawing board.

Last I herad was that this was getting re-designed so it doesn't encroach.

If the construction on this building will get up and running soon, we could have two cranes that are almost side by side (with The Peacock). How nice that would be to see!

Will the Courtyard at City Hall Plaza need a crane? Demolition and construction will be starting on that in the next month or so...
