I drove by the WES site the other day, It seems the hole has expanded.

I dont think it has because I have seen no equipment on site for some time now. It may be because all of the water is gone. I guess at times all we can do is laugh.

I know folks worry about Sig, but when you look at this project it can put things in perspective. I mean this has been in the works since when? 2002? Yet, it's still moving forward, albeit we keep getting different plans for what the final structure(s) will end up being.

More bad news? Sisk doesn't say much in this article that we don't already know, but may be confirming that WES isn't gonna take off any time soon.

Thats an idea, a downtown fishing hole for executives on the run. Alex could put paddle boats out there too for some extra revenue.

2012 is still four years away. Plenty of time for WES to get built and open. I sure hope Intercontinental is right.

It's possible the Music City Center convention complex will help get this project over the hump. I would imagine Intercontinental is much more likely to stick this out waiting for the project to break ground knowing that the Convention Center will be operational in 2012. I think the same logic may apply to the Signature Tower project as well. In fact with Signature, the Hotel Palomar has actually expressed a desire to enlarge their hotel from the original plan. I'm sure that desire is due to the MCC project.
