I may have misspoken. The building I am referring to you actually showed pictures of they other day. It has a wooden walkway over an open brick patio and faces W Markham on the North side.

That building is on the Eastside of the Clinton Library Store. The building next to it is also/was for sale. At one time there were renderings of how it could be redeveloped.

Read the post I was responding to and you'll understand. I've posted before about the Butler Center. I'm glad those buildings are finally being rehabbed. They were pretty hideous to be in the heart of the district.

Yes. This is a modern, sophisticated tower that creates a healthy juxtaposition with the surrounding context - very well executed. It's looking great. It says "Hey, I was actually built in 2007!" and doesn't make any apology to it, which is how it should be. You don't have to resort to knee-jerk, knock-off "traditional" cliches, which never live up to the spirit of the original craftsmanship anyway.

I say all this in contrast to my first reaction to the Rivermarket Tower, in that it appears as bland as its name. I hope its just a poor rendering, and that the actual design proves a little more sophisticated. The pedestrian scale, mixed-use planning of that whole block for Rivermarket Tower is a plus however.

after looking at the plumbing review I noticed that former Razorback star and current Atlanta Hawk Joe Johnson ( I assume this is the same Joe Johnson) has purchased a condo at 300 3rd. It looks like the units are beginning their finish out.

Johnson's really become a bona fide superstar. He's 2nd in the NBA in scoring very early in the season, and is on the US National Team that will play in the next Olympics. Glad to see he's still hanging around the Rock.

I didn't have time to stop and take pics but I did get to see the tower when I was driving through for the Thanksgiving holiday. It's looking really nice. I really like that copper accent they have going on there.

You forgot the most contrasted part - the copper.

The project's growing on me as time goes on though I still lament the lack of ground-level retail.

Although there is retail located on the Western half of the building the Eastern half has none. This is also the side that is next to another parking deck.

I never did think the parking deck for the Arkansas Capital Commerce Center fit with the ACCC building.
