I think I'd rather see pictures of the CCM I remember it to be than the CCM it became. It is just plain sad to see it in rubbles.

Yeah I've always enjoyed looking at old pictures of me with Santa and the Easter Bunny at CCM. It is sad to look at those.

I put together a 20 minute slideshow about CCM, but I took a lot of pictures and videos from the internet so I don't want to risk a lawsuit or something by putting it on the internet.

Did anyone read today's article about the shopping center? It said something about a Chinese buffet and a theater at the old K-mart if Lowe's decides to build at the new shopping center.

From what I read, the Chinese buffet is coming to CCM regardless of where Lowe's goes, and that they may build a new theater there if Lowes goes to the Kmart center.

I think it's been a struggle to convince retailers that CCM was a good place for a store again. Wal-Mart coming legitimized Northeast Greensboro for a lot of them.

With the new Wal-Mart, Lowes, etc. they will remodel that McDonalds's. Last time I was in there, it was looking kind of tired compared with some of the other ones in town.

I heard that the rest of the Shoppes at Pyramids Village should begin construction within the next 60 days.

I took this picture Sunday of the back of Wal-Mart. This is across from the Wards Auto Center.

yup here is a link. The shopping center will have over 25 stores including a Subway and IHOP. This is the first time in many many years that this part of town is seeing the development of big chain retail.

If they still have room for a junior anchor, KOHL'S and/or SAM'S CLUB would work well.

I'm excited about the Ihop because all of the Greensboro Ihop's are always very crowded. I used to go a lot back in the early-mid '90s on Westover Ter. I quit going for awhile until last year when I went to the one in North Myrtle Beach. Hadn't been since.

PS: I'm still going to call The Shoppes at Pyramids Village, Carolina Circle Mall.

I went by there this afternoon. There are now several signs up like "1 Hour Photo" "Pharmacy" "Tire & Lube" etc. But no main Wal-Mart sign yet. I heard it's going to open in August. Is that true?

If you see the accessory signs up already, it won't be long. Besides, they have to catch the back to school shopping crowds, which is always huge for Wal-Mart.

There were a lot of cars in the Wal-Mart parking lot this afternoon. I'm assuming a lot of people are applying for jobs or something. There was also a Pepsi truck there. Must be filling the coolers. Also, the big Wal-Mart Supercenter sign has now been installed on the front of the building.

probably training for new employees...I saw the same situation over in Kernersville today with the new Target they built...lots of cars but a big sign that says "Opens July 23"
