They could use the dirt pile for fill dirt as the project progresses. Things like backfill around small walls, bringing up sidewalks/parking areas/green space to sub-grade, etc. They have it covered because depending on what kind of dirt it is, if it gets wet, it turns into a nasty clumpy mud that you cant get any compaction on. If that happens, you either haul it off somewhere else, or spread it out and hope it dries out before it rains again (not a good plan this time of year).

Nice shot of the COVID cave. LOL.  Standard width of a 40' container is 7.5'.   How is this a good idea?  Standard open air metal scaffolding  seems like it would have been worlds better than  containers with a few holes cut in one side.

Yeah it looks cool but walking through it last night with my kids was a little treacherous with the high volume of people using the trail. The few containers with the fans were nice though but probably just help spread the COVID more.

It wouldn't be as big of a deal if the trail on the other side was complete to Remount to spread the rail trail traffic around a little bit more. Anyone know what the holdup is on converting the two remaining grass patches to trail? I thought they won a Knight Foundation award to help build out these sections.
