    So something I didn’t know about the new tower but it does have a slight cantilever.

    Never knew that, I used to be on the floor with the AV studios a while back. Now I am in 3. Never heard it called main. For the purposes of vacating, that and two wells are all one building now we huge floor plates

    Our own 550 Brevard uses red letters… Which one is Wells Fargo main? We might be talking the same building. The 12 story annex attached to 2 Wells?

    Three towers, that’s news to me, since I work for that company in uptown with them… they exited 1 Wells and 2 wells, and went into their new 600,000 sqft in Duke Energy. They still have 3 wells which they have spent a bunch to renovate the interior, and 550 brevard, which is very nice.

    There probably will be a Tepper tower here in the next round of real estate boom once rates are down in a year or two

    This is a company that is trying to bring its employees back into uptown to fill vacancies, and working to transform one of its old buildings into residential rather than leave it empty. The employee 30k people with high wages in Charlotte, and are first thought is immediately no? To a building they have owned for close to 20 years? this is some NIMBY crap in a different form. I love you all but you should do some self reflection

    I think if this red line plan actually is serious, we will see the station come to fruition, but maybe not the huge 4 tower project, something more like what’s in Raleigh. A redline with 30 minute headways would start really bringing volume into the station. I am assuming they don’t even know when the silver line will be built

    I mean, the Y is likely going to leave the building and sell to a property banker with no plans now… so I am sure the neighborhood will love a large abandoned blight in the middle of their area, that will soon be filled with homeless

    Portman Holding has kicked off 2120 S. Tryon and has listed it on their website. Anyone see a rendering yet?

    Wake Forest will add a branch of their Law School on the Innovation Campus in the next 5 years. This is not a guess. MBA programs and a Nursing school as well

    The powerhouses are going to have trouble bailing soon, and who knows what all this looks like in 5 years when it’s more reasonable for FSU to bail. Clemson isn’t going to get a SEC offer anytime soon after the last 2 seasons

    I doubt Clemson or FSU go anywhere for the next 12 years, the financial impact is pretty steep.

    McColl has a long history of getting things done, and really loves Charlotte. If he is involved personally I could see this happening, but we will see.
