Hearing this is where Brightspeed (the Private Equity backed telco spinoff from Lumen) will make their official HQ.  Taking the 7th floor.

I also hear the full 3rd floor is leased as well, but didn't get a tenant name (so assuming correct, 4 floors leased)

Move-in just in time to get their view Uptown blocked!

 

Is that a hint to enterprise lot?

I've always wondered about what the actually top floor of the deck would look like when this projects gets this addition. Like will the top fo the parking deck be where the pool and outdoor space will be or will it just be parking and the pool and amenity space be within the hotel structure itself..

The hotel for the most part will overlook the 2 Vantage SE buildings and those rooms facing uptown will be able to see into that courtyard.  In the other direction it should have good long views. as it is 10 story hotel atop at 10 story parking deck.   Of course some of the view will be blocked by the future Riverside and Crescent towers.

What's that gurgling sound you hear in city center?

It's the sound of tenants draining out of uptown space for newer construction in South End.

Thankfully, these moves and transitions don't really qualify as suburban flight driving sprawl further and further out on the margins of the region, as South End locations are within walking distance and relatively urban.  There does appear to be, however, a hollowing out of the city's traditional CBD.  While South End teems with an ever-evolving landscape of entertainment options patronized by its millennial imbibers and revelers, uptown's hotspots endure troubles like defaults, foreclosures, and repossessions.
