What's the flag? The bowling alley... er, movie theatre... um, bowling alley, too?  That's a lot to digest... even with AMZN at full roll-out in 6 years. 

It is just crazy. Looks like we will have most of Nashville Yards now in about 3 years.

Actually, its more like nine or maybe ten buildings. My guess is it will all be built out within 4 years.

We don't know the flag yet. They should be starting on the AIG portion at anytime if notalready as I saw equipment working on that site yesterday.

What are buildings 4, 7 and 8 in the newest renderings?

We now have a total of 12 buildings in the Nashville yards project. It does seem to get bigger by the week as the details emerge.

Building 7 is an office building of about 14 or 15 stories

Building 8 is the boutique hotel AEG is doing, also around 14 or 15 stories, 250 rooms

Also Building 3 is the bowling alley/movie theater/ around 10 stories

Building 9 is a apartment building , seems to be about 10

Building 6 is the 4000 seat music venue

I’d like to see these guys purchase the Baptist building on 9th and Commerce and incorporate that land into the project, maybe with something 20-40 stories. These guys are for real, they’re definitely maximizing the land.

With amazon and AEG locked up (along with the ongoing building of the nearby courthouse) I can’t really think of an available piece of real estate that is going to be in a better position as it is. I don’t know what they’re asking for the property but I can guarantee it’s a steal compared to what it will be in 5 years.

I noticed those two drilling rigs yesterday drilling down the center of the street (9th Ave).     I know 10th Ave will run underneath the Yards project, but is there going to be an elevation  change for 9th also?

I don't know the answer to your question, but they could be exploring the general stability of the roadway to determine whether it needs any additional support to accommodate the surrounding excavation.

From the looks of the renderings, all of the streets are going to be drastically changed. If not elevated then totally reworked.

This should provide Nashville with a perfect example of how to design a "complete" street for all modes of people movement. Lets hope the opportunity is taken and executed.
