  1. Announcements in this environment can be bluster to try to show people you mean business. The inability to get bank financing will unfortunately make many of these projects evaporate.
  2. Getting close now! Once the garage skin goes on it looks like we are closed in.
  3. They will spot drill every column location to ensure the actual bearing of the rock and where it is. That removes most of the unknown contingency for the foundation work.
  4. You know... they (ESA) did an admirable job of proportioning and design organization. The colors are just so tragic.
  5. Incentives are many times done as tax abatement and could be made dependent on construction commencement, certificate of occupancy, or other similar factors.
  6. Some great posts here! Oracle to Nashville was real. Can’t confirm if it is still is.
  7. Walked this the other day. It is really a shame this building doesn’t activate Peabody Street at all. All of the guts and service stuff is along that section. Huge missed opportunity in my opinion to pull people into the district from Hermitage.
  8. Maybe projected blades of glass off the side of a 30 story building aren’t a good idea.
  9. This whole district is going to be great. Add this to 222 and the 4 Seasons and wow... If CB Ragland develops that big lot between Centric and KVB the walkability and density will really be there to make all this retail successful.
  10. Nashville Yards stated in the Tennessean Article it will pay over $50 million in taxes a year once developed. PSC Metals could support a similar development. So the ROI in ten years for a $25 million investment would be a 25x. Find me any investment where you can have a 25x in ten years.
  11. Everyone here assumes the Mayor cares about what we perceive as negative press or backlash from the educated and powerful. People that are naturally contrarian count these kind of moments (like telling a big company to go elsewhere) as a success. Spend some time reading the comments on a Tennessean News story or to the Mayor’s Twitter Post; the mouthbreathing crowd is firmly behind this type of crazy destructive action. If you need an example, look no further then how the Soccer Stadium “negotiations” are going down. It isn’t a negotiation when only one side is willing to give.
