Interview with Brad Parker of Hampton Social Club about the opening of the restaurant in the 222 2nd Ave. South Building.  It covers 2 floors, 18,000 sq. ft., and can serve up to 405 people.  The 2,000 sq. ft. patio on the 3rd level will open next month.

Yep, 222 looks to have one dimension a fair bit less than the other. Seems the AB tower is a bit more of a full cube.

I think the garage treatment is a bit nicer on 222. Of course AB can't settle on a choice yet.

Another casualty of the pandemic:  The Green Pheasant restaurant, which had been receiving great reviews for its 222 2nd Ave. South location, is closing permanently.

Great reviews but never enough customers. It never seemed even remotely busy. I wanted to try it out but could never see anything on the menu that I wanted, especially when compared to Liberty Common or Hampton Social. I'm not a foodie.

Alot of restaurants opened up around 222 within a year of each other..........Green Pheasant, Liberty Commons, Genos East, Cafe Intermezzo and Hampton Social.   I thought the food was great at Green Pheasant,  but I never saw it super busy.

How's the price at these restaurants? Food is pretty pricy at that neighborhood.

They are pricey.......most of them went after the $15 and up lunch crowd from the beginning.  Genos is probably the one place you could get a few things under $10 for lunch (from the ones I listed above).
