The person from East End that's heading this up is very involved with development....so I feel like this is probably going to happen. He did say specifically that Shelby and 10th is another animal and would be a whole separate deal.

Yes, I am working with Rich McCoy from East End Neighborhood Association (and RediscoverEast) to coordinate feedback between East End and Edgefield neighborhood associations as well as Walk/Bike, TURBO, and the local merchants to come to a general plan for 10th/11th that we can all push in a coordinated way. The 4-way stop at 10th/Fatherland as well as designated parking/no parking areas on 10th will help to calm traffic, plus we are trying to work out additional crosswalks on 11th at Holly and Russell, for instance. Each of those things is easier said than done. But I am striving to get all stakeholders and advocacy groups on the same sheet of music to advocate with Public Works, Planning, and the Mayor's Office.

Here is an update on the massive Chicago based Monroe development on the East Bank. Site plan is showing Cleveland Street extending over the interstate through the development and bridging over to 2nd Ave in Germantown. Also Grace Street is extended over the interstate with a pedestrian bridge to 2nd Ave. Slated to begin in the spring.
