Lincoln Tech applied for a rehab permit last week for their new space at 2813 Brick Church Pike.

An unknown brand 8 story, 245 room hotel with 6,000 sq. ft. of restaurant/retail space is being planned for 1.41 acres at 741 South 5th St. (just west of Envision Cayce) according to a new water and sewer availability request.  No word on the developer.  Kimley-Horn is handling the land-planning/engineering. No renderings yet.  There is currently a nondescript, non-historic 1 floor brick industrial structure on site.

I will have to say this is going to be an odd location for a hotel and especially a hotel with retail.

Samaritan Recovery Community hosted a grand opening event today to celebrate the completion of its new 5 story facility and its 60th anniversary. The community-based, non-profit agency provides treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders in Nashville and the Middle Tennessee area since 1964, The new building features a 130-bed treatment center for Samaritan Recovery Community and the addition of 195 affordable housing units through Shelby House Apartments, poised to assimilate individuals transitioning from rehabilitation back into society. Samaritan Recovery Community partnered with Holladay Ventures and Evergreen Real Estate to create this new development located at the corner of 5th And Shelby.

Planning for the east bank redevelopment. Would be a short walk to the new stadium.

More info regarding the March 15th post several posts above:  the hotel for the 1.41 acre site at 751 South 5th Street will be a Marriott brand. It will stand 8 stories/119', and feature 265 rooms, 8,000 sq. ft. of ground levelretail/restaurant space, and a 160 capacity garage. Dream Capital is the developer. ODA Architecture is inc charge of design, and Kimley-Horn will oversee land planning and engineering.

Envison Cayce's Cherry Oak Apartments (4 stories, 149 units, parking garage) opened this week.  It is the 7th  affordable housing development in the large project.  There are now a total of 0ver 600 new apartments in Cayce Place, with many more on the way.

After a 7+ year pause, Broadmoor is moving forward via Rethink Community developers.  The 48 acre site on the SW corner of the intersection of Ellington Parkway and Broadmoor Drive will feature an unspecified mix of hundreds of single family homes, multifamily units,  several restaurants, a brewery, child care center, community park, and greenway.  Rethink bought the empty land in 2016, and plan to break ground in mid-2025.
